I’m in Stockholm, just out for lunch with my cousin from Gothenburg and every 2 minutes a “studentflak” (a truck filled with a graduated class) is passing by, dancing and celebrating the end of schooling.
The truth is from now on, life will only get tougher for them: 10 procent of them will likely continue education, 20 procent will remain confused, 30 procent will enter the market of unemployment, 10 procent will find a job through contacts or work in a shop and 30 procent will take a “sabbatsår” (1 or 2 years off venturing to different countries).
I know how hard it is, making choices, life directions and realizing your true potentials and go after them. It’s hard and with today’s economy, it doesn’t get easier….
